Mercedes has been hard at work creating a follow up to its SLS AMG sports car, and at this year's New York Auto Show, they finally decided to show the world what they've been crafting: the Mercedes-AMG GT. Not one to give away too much, Mercedes only released a few shots of the GT's exquisite interior, but that was all that was needed to get us excited for the car's upcoming release.

With the Mercedes-AMG GT, Mercedes aims to set AMG apart from other sports car brands. The interior of the GT can already be considered a step in the right direction with its emotional styling and use of high-end materials, which show off its luxurious nature. Sporting the traditional Mercedes "aviation design," the GT also features a large center stack, four climate-control vents lined neatly across the dashboard and buttons on the AMG DRIVE UNIT that are shaped like the cylinder of a V-8 engine. The overall look gives off a stunning impression of the Mercedes-AMG GT's power, which is sure to put it in a league all its own.
"The technological substance of the Mercedes-AMG GT underscores our high aspirations with regard to vehicle dynamics, agility and sportiness. Following the global success of the SLS AMG, the new GT is the second sports car developed fully independently by Mercedes-AMG. A first exclusive look at the design of the interior shows what is in store for our customers: a GT sports car in its purest form."
