Smartphone integration is a must-have in today's latest cars, and as a leader in this trend, Apple is rolling out an all-new program that allows drivers to use their iPhone while traveling called CarPlay! An innovative system that gives you the ability to play music, reply to text messages and utilize Maps with just your voice or the press of a button, CarPlay is the next hottest smartphone-integration program to be introduced in the automotive market. Brands are already lining up to get a hold of the new feature and Mercedes is one of the first automakers set to receive the system, which will be offered in upcoming models.

With the increasing number of iPhone owners out on the road, CarPlay is the perfect system to have available throughout the Mercedes lineup. It gives drivers the ability to make calls, listen to text messages, hear voicemails and respond to messages all through Siri. The system also uses your contacts, emails and/or texts to predict your driving destinations and provide directions, but if you want to bypass the system, you can still ask Siri for directions. Aside from these benefits, CarPlay even lets you play music through apps, such as iHeartRadio and Spotify, in addition to your own personal music, giving you a variety of listening options.

CarPlay will be available in specific Mercedes cars, such as the 2014 C-Class, sometime this year and is currently available as an update with iOS 7. To learn more about the system, visit Apple's official website for exclusive details.
