Elite Mercedes would like to thank everyone who attended the 2015 Dash for Down Syndrome 5K on Saturday, March 21. Held at our dealership, the annual race drew in an astounding number of people throughout the Springfield community. Benefitting Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks, the Dash for Down Syndrome 5K was able to raise an incredible $5,700 to support the organization and its active members.

Throughout the years, Elite Mercedes has been able to raise awareness for Down syndrome and help those coping with the condition by holding the annual Dash for Down Syndrome 5K. Open to both adults and children, the commendable event works to bring people together for a worthy cause. Unlike other races, the 5K is labeled a fun run, and welcomes all ages and running abilities. At this year's event, a total of 187 people participated in the run/walk, which began and ended at Elite Mercedes. Sara Ilbetson completed race first with a time of 19:45, while Reliable Chevy employee, Nat Reynolds placed second, coming in at 21:14.

Dash for Down Syndrome was an overall success this year thanks to the support of the community. We look forward to holding the race again next year, which is scheduled for March 19, 2016.
