Our dealership has always been a huge supporter of the Springfield Lasers and their efforts within the sport of tennis, which have gained them a loyal following of dedicated fans throughout the state of Missouri.
The Springfield Lasers have been the city's premier TeamTennis franchise since they arrived in Springfield in 1996. They play all of their home matches in Mediacom Stadium at Cooper Tennis Complex, which accommodates up to 2,500 people. The complex has hosted several high-end tournaments over the years, including Fed Cup play, ATP and WTA professional tournaments, and NCAA II National Championships. Tennis greats including Andy Roddick, Anna Kournikova and James Blake have all competed at Cooper Tennis Complex.
While many pro tennis players have had their fair share of wins at Cooper Tennis Complex, nothing compares to the accomplishments of the Springfield Lasers over past 16 years. The team won the Western Conference Championship in 2014, 2013, 2009, 2001 and 1999, proving they are a force to be reckoned with.
With the 2015 season kicking off on July 12, we want to wish the Springfield Lasers the best of luck this year. We hope they can snag the championship trophy once again for 2015 and encourage Springfield residents to go and cheer the team on during one of their home matches this season!
