Lovers of the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon may want to hold onto their seats, because after years of exclusivity overseas, it's being said that the Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG could finally be coming to the U.S.! A performance-focused SUV like no other, the G65 AMG stands as the most powerful G Wagon in Mercedes' lineup and features one-of-a-kind capabilities. With its sister model, the GLA45 AMG, already scheduled to head to the States, the G65 AMG could quickly dominate the American market with its arrival and reestablish Mercedes' SUV dominance in the U.S. automotive industry.

The secret behind the Mercedes G65 AMG's outstanding performance is its 6.0L twin-turbo V-12 engine. Boasting 604 horsepower and 738 lb.-ft. of torque, it is incredibly strong and is able to work at optimal levels when supported by the wagon's accompanied seven-speed automatic transmission. Automotive News was the first to report the G65 would be making its way to the U.S. for the first time since it was released in 2012; however, we're still waiting on Mercedes to confirm the news. If it is true, the model is expected to debut for the 2016 model year, so keep an eye out to see if it arrives at Elite Mercedes - we're keeping our fingers crossed!
