It’s true. The Mercedes-Benz SLK is long gone, but it has not been forgotten. To keep its legacy going, Mercedes-Benz has launched a new hardtop roadster based off the classic model, which has been named the SLC. At this year’s Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz debuted the new vehicle to a room full of excited car enthusiasts and showed off its elegantly crafted design. Slated to arrive on the market later this year, you can find the SLK successor at Elite Automotive Group.

To better align the new hardtop roadster with the C-Class, Mercedes-Benz decided to drop the “K” from its moniker and replace it with a “C.” The model will be available across the globe when it’s released and America will get two different versions of the roadster. The first is the SLC 300, which comes with a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine, generating 241 horsepower, and the second is the Mercedes-AMG-produced SLC 43, which features a 3.0L twin-turbo V6, delivering 362 horsepower. Both powerplants will also come with a nine-speed automatic transmission that will support their power offerings and help deliver outstanding performance.

Equipped with advanced technologies, innovative safety systems and premium materials you can only find in a luxury vehicle, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLC will leave buyers starstruck. Its future arrival at Elite Automotive Group is one we look forward to and we hope you’re excited, too.
