2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 SUV and GLE 580 4MATIC SUV

As would be expected from Mercedes-Benz, the GLE stands out mainly for its lavish and upscale interior. In 2021, the most significant change for the GLE is the fact that several new, more robust variants have joined the family. The GLE now comes in two new trim levels with more power. Performance

Performance characteristics vary between the two trim levels. The GLE 350 uses a four-cylinder engine with a top power rating of 255 HP. Rear-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain for the GLE 350, but you can choose to get all-wheel drive as an alternative. The GLE 580 4MATIC receives a different engine for more power. Under the hood of the 580 is a turbo V8 engine with an increase in power generation to 483 HP. Mercedes-Benz's exclusive all-wheel drive is standard with this trim level.

Appearance

Chrome touches give both trim levels a classy and elegant exterior look. LED headlights are standard on the base trim level. The GLE 350 also has 19-inch wheels. A power liftgate is standard, and the base trim comes with a sunroof. The GLE 580 adds some additional features, including larger 20-inch wheels and a special styling package. A lighting package is available for either trim to improve nighttime visibility. This package gives either trim wide LED high beams and automatic headlights.

Features

The GLE 350 has plenty of technology to start with, including a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a separate 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both included. Keyless entry and a push-button start are other standard items. The 350 has simulated leather upholstery, while the 580 upgrades to premium leather seats. Wireless device charging is added to the 580, which also has massaging seats. A Driver Assistance Package is available for the 350 and 580 trims with evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a speed limit sign recognition feature. A panoramic sunroof is available as a standalone item, and you can get heated armrests and heated front seats as well.
