News around the auto industry claims that the upcoming Mercedes-AMG E63 could deliver around 600 horsepower when it debuts on the market in the near future. The S model, which currently comes with a 5.5L twin-turbo V8 engine, is said to feature a revised version of the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 found in the Mercedes-AMG C63 sedan that will be able to support the new power output.

As of today, the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 equipped on the C63 S delivers 503 horsepower, which means a tweaked version of the engine could very well generate close to 600 horsepower. It's likely that a new pair of turbos will be the components behind the E63's increase in horsepower. Mercedes has not released any official information about the E63's engine specs, but we're likely to receive more info when the standard E-Class debuts at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. However, we do currently know the new model will come with LED adaptive headlights, adaptive cruise control equipped with speed-limit reading, a nine-speed-automatic transmission and remote controlled parking when it officially arrives at Elite Automotive Group.
