The all-new 2015 Mercedes GLC isn't expected to make its big debut until this fall, but just recently, a plug-in version of the incoming model was seen being tested in Sweden. Draped in camo, the plug-in was nicely concealed; however, an opening in the rear bumper containing a charger socket blew its cover. This is the first sighting that has been documented of the new model, and as its arrival approaches, we're likely to see more revealing photos.

Little information has been released about the new Mercedes GLC model, but we do know it will be based on the same underpinnings as the C-Class model. Because of this small tidbit, it's safe to say that the GLC 350 Plug-in Hybrid will come equipped with the same engine as the C-Class hybrid, the C350 Plug-in, which sports a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and electric motor that work together to generate 275 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque. The GLC Plug-in is also expected to offer an electric driving range of 19 miles, but this has yet to be confirmed. Additional information about the model should be released within the coming months that will better explain its offerings.
