The electric car race is on and Mercedes-Benz is doing their best to try to grab ahold of the market. According to sources, the German automaker is currently in the process of creating their own electric sub brand that will likely put both Tesla and BMW to shame.
It was only a matter of time before Mercedes-Benz jumped onto the electric car train and it looks like the brand is arriving right on schedule. The development of a new electric vehicle sub brand is just what they need to make their mark on the segment, and due to their reputation, it’s guaranteed to draw in luxury car seekers from across the world.
While the new sub brand has yet to be named, it’s being said that it will spawn two electric sedans and two electric SUVs. The first, a high-performance electric sedan, is likely to appear at the upcoming Paris Motor Show – it is expected to feature an all-wheel drive configuration and offer a 300-mile driving range. An SUV version is sure to follow and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for information about its debut.
