The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be taking its place on the market in due time, and when it does, it will offer a barrage of new engines. The incoming powerplants are expected to debut as early as June, with select variants showing up first on the E250 and E300 models.
For months, industry enthusiasts have predicted the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class would offer a series of new engines and now there’s word they’re coming in just a matter of months. According to automotive sources, the first engine will debut on the E250 and likely arrive in the form of a turbocharged four-cylinder, delivering up to 211 horsepower. The E300 will be the second model to show off a new engine, generating around 300 horsepower, and the E400 4MATIC will follow with a 333-horsepower powerplant. Later on in the year, the E200d and E220d diesel models will premiere, while the E63 and E63 S models will arrive in 2017 with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 developed by AMG.
