Just recently, Mercedes-Benz had been seen testing their all-new GLC Coupe model in Sweden, which is slated to arrive in North America later this year. The model, based off the GLC Coupe Concept (pictured above) that debuted in 2015 at the Shanghai Motor Show, will go head to head against other premium models on the market today, including the BMW X4 compact luxury crossover.

The brand-new production version Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is slightly less over-the-top than the GLC Coupe Concept that arrived last year. It bears a resemblance to the larger GLE Coupe, adopting many of its styling cues, and features a similar interior, mechanics and platform. When it comes to powertrains, the model is expected to receive both gas and diesel turbocharged four-cylinder displacements that will provide first-class performance. The U.S. GLC Coupe 300 is said to receive a 2.0L engine, generating 241 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque, while the high-performance GLC 450 AMG model is expected to get a 3.0L bi-turbocharged V6, delivering 362 horsepower and 384 lb.-ft. of torque.
