
Enjoy watching a movie under the stars every Friday and Saturday night from now until August 27 at Founders Park. Perfect for date nights or family outings, these weekly outdoor movie screenings are a great way to enjoy a warm summer night out and about in Springfield.
A modern take on the classic drive-in, Movies at Founders Park is a fun summer series open to all ages. During its run, locals will be able to enjoy kid’s movies every Friday, which is Family Night, while the romantic types can enjoy Date Night on Saturdays. All movies are rated G, PG or PG-13 and include several classics such as “Grease,” “Rocky,” “The Little Rascals,” “Heavyweights” and “Top Gun.”
The next showing will be “Aladdin” on Friday, July 15, which will be followed by “Cool Runnings” on Saturday, July 16.
A small fee of $5 is required to watch each movie; children ages 5 and under are free. However, free advance Family 4-Packs are available during the week before each screening at multiple locations in the area, including Doling, Chesterfield, Dan Kinney Family Centers, Busch Municipal Building and Mediacom Office, and Mediacom Ice Park.
