Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed that they will be offering a fuel cell version of their popular GLC model in 2017. During the company's "Rad to the Future" event recently held in Stuttgart, Germany, they even debuted a prototype of the upcoming vehicle, which is pictured above.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC F-Cell will be unlike any other fuel cell on the market when it debuts in 2017. The car will be the first production fuel cell model to receive a reusable electric range, offering 30 miles of pure electric driving. A variety of plug-in capabilities designed to charge the lithium-ion battery pack are just a few of the components that will back the F-Cell's offerings. A fuel-cell stack will also be outfitted on the vehicle that sends power to an electric motor that in turn gets the rear wheels moving.

In addition to the fuel-cell stack, the hydrogen-powered car will come with two carbon-fiber tanks, offering a 4.3 kg storage capacity, which will take just three minutes to refill. These tanks will support the GLC's 310-mile driving range - a number that is sure to impress car buyers.
