What's New for the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?
For the 2026 model year, the S-Class mostly gets updates on a trim-specific basis. What Are the 2026 S-Class Trims & Features?
Starting off the S-Class lineup is the Luxury Trim. This trim level is equipped with many notable features, including 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, sunshades in the back row, and creature comforts, including heated and ventilated seats. The Luxury Trim also has a plethora of technology to enjoy, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and a navigation system. Voice commands are also standard on this trim level. Next is the Pinnacle Trim with four-zone climate control, rear wireless charging ports, dual 11.6-inch touchscreen displays, and infotainment systems in the back row.
The AMG S 63 E Performance is the next trim in the lineup. This trim level has the same features as the Luxury trim, except that it also adds the contents of the Warmth & Comfort package. This package includes a heated steering wheel, heated armrests, and heated and ventilated rear seats.
Several packages are available to enhance whichever trim level you decide to get. The available packages include rear seat packages, exclusive interior color packages, and isolated options such as carbon brakes.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 S-Class Have?
The S-Class is available with several different mechanical configurations. The base model features a turbo 3.0L engine with an output of 442 horsepower. The S 580 has a turbo 4.0L V8 engine that produces 496 horsepower, and the S 580e is a plug-in hybrid that gets up to 503 horsepower.

For safety, the Mercedes S-Class comes with forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, lane-keep assist, automated lane change assist, a parking system, and a 360-degree camera.
