Held annually in France, the 24 Hours of Le Mans ranks among the most prestigious endurance races in motorsport. Its American counterpart, the Petit Le Mans, brings world-class manufacturers and an elite international field of drivers to Atlanta each year for a grueling 10-hour challenge.

The Number 57 Car Wins Three Straight

Sharing driving duties across the event, the crew of the No. 57 car captured class honors and the overall crown for the third consecutive year. This landmark performance marks the first time in the modern era of the Petit Le Mans that any team has achieved three straight victories.

A Strong Comeback Seals the Victory

Entering the Petit Le Mans—a cornerstone event in deciding the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD title—Winward Racing trailed the standings by several hundred points. A setback earlier in the season following a crash at Watkins Glen had put the team in a difficult position with minimal time to recover. Masterful driving in the final stretch, however, propelled the No. 57 car to victory, crossing the finish line just tenths of a second ahead of the runner-up.

A Whirlwind Rise

Founded in 2017, Winward Racing faced the challenge of rapidly catching up to veteran competitors—comparable to an expansion franchise joining a major sports league and hoisting a championship trophy within its first few seasons. Credit belongs to ownership for supplying the necessary backing, alongside the relentless commitment of the mechanics, drivers, and crew who brought the program up to speed so quickly.
