Mercedes-Benz has made an array of changes to the CLA-Class for 2017. Both the CLA250 and CLA45 AMG models have been updated, receiving fresh features and styling enhancements. From newly integrated driver-assist technologies to exterior modifications that boost the CLA’s overall appeal, the improved CLA-Class lineup is going to catch the attention of buyers when it arrives at Elite Automotive Group later this year.

Coming into the new model year, both the CLA250 and CLA45 AMG receive similar updates to their front ends that soften the exterior design of the car. On the CLA45 AMG, titanium grey inserts have also been added in the splitter and high-gloss black canards are found in the corners. Additionally, the rear diffuser now has four vertical fins that slightly alter the car’s appearance.
Aside from the exterior changes, the CLA models now come with a slimmer eight-inch infotainment screen, while the standard models receive chrome trim on the controls and new seat covers. The CLA45 AMG gets red stitching throughout the cabin and offers a new AMG Dinamica Interior package that adds microfiber suede upholstery. On the tech side of things, both models get a standard rearview camera and Active Brake Assist, which help prevent avoidable accidents. The CLA250 also offers optional LED headlights, while the CLA45 AMG comes standard with them.
One area that doesn’t see any changes this year, is the CLA’s power offerings. The 250 continues to feature a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder, generating 208 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, while the 45 AMG gets a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder, exerting 375 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. Both models also come backed by a seven-speed automatic transmission, supporting their power offerings.
