In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Mercedes-AMG is commemorating its successful history while also looking toward the future. Blending luxury with functionality, the AMG GT sports car is indicative of what will be next for the exterior design that is coming to the series production model.
"With the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept, we are giving a preview of our third completely independently developed sports car and are extending the attractive AMG GT family to include a four-door variant,” said Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
On the outside, the fastback features a deeply drawn hood, dominant windscreen, slim headlamps and side air grills – elements that only add to the car’s muscular physique. At the rear, design characteristics include a wide carbon-fiber diffuser curved downwards at each side and a centrally positioned tailpipe.
For exceptional power, the AMG GT Concept delivers with its AMG 4.0-liter V8 that enables the car to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than three seconds.
