Elite Mercedes would like to thank everyone who came out for our 8th Annual Run to the Lights 5K on Nov. 8. We are pleased to announce that more than 1,600 people participated in the Christmas-centric race, which raised money for The Caring People, an organization whose mission is to bring together single mothers. We enjoyed seeing each and every one of you get into the Christmas spirit and we hope you'll join us again in 2014!

Elite Mercedes-Benz was proud to sponsor the 5th Annual 5K Run to the Lights to benefit single mother's organization, The Caring People. The run took place on November 9th at Silver Dollar City, and through the efforts of organizers and contributors, over $60,000 was raised for The Caring People. Runners from across the country showed up for the event, and of the 1,615 people that registered, 1,038 of them crossed the finish line - a new record!

The Caring People exists to provide support and faith-based mentoring to single mothers across the
Midwest and El Salvador. They hold weekly "Care Groups" and provide meals for single mothers and
their children in a safe, welcoming environment. Over 16 Caring People chapters exist in Missouri alone to serve and "break through the walls" that keep single mothers from finding faith.

In a recent interview for the Missouri-based newspaper, the News-Leader, Elite Mercedes-Benz General Manager Randall Hargis said of the event: "We at Elite Automotive are proud to help sponsor the Run to the Lights. The funds raised during this event go to a wonderful organization that helps women realize that they don't have to raise their children alone. By creating a nurturing atmosphere that emphasizes the Ozarks' Christian values, the Caring People can help single mothers maintain the dignity and family values with which they want to raise their children."
