2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

What's New For the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

Mercedes-Benz E-Class line is known for its luxurious look, feel, and driving experience at a significantly less costly price point. The E-Class offers not only simple upgrades but a revamped line. The E350 is a new model, replacing the E300. Along with a more robust and fuel-efficient engine in the base model, all E-Class models feature passive entry and driver-assistive technologies.

What Features Are Available for 2020?

There are four distinct options in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class line: the E350 sedan, the E450 sedan, the E450 coupe, and the E450 cabriolet. The E450 sedan comes equipped with an all-wheel-drive as a standard feature, though the rear-wheel-drive is an option with E450 convertibles and coupes.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a smooth and elegant ride thanks to the luxury craftsmanship and superior air suspension. The interior cabin looks as if it comes from a much more expensive luxury sedan, with brushed aluminum and wood accents in the consoles. A fragrance diffuser is also available as an optional extra.

The standard touchpad-based infotainment display measures an impressive 12.3-inch, with three separate control options available (touchpad used on the steering wheel, rotary knobs, or voice controls). Both a navigation system and both Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto integration come standard. Interior cubby storage is also generous, with additional cargo space available with folding rear seats.

Mercedes-Benz also offers both a limited warranty and a powertrain warranty on the E-Class line for four years or 50,000 miles.

2020 Mercedes-Benz Powertrain Options

Mercedes-Benz offers two different engine options, depending on the model; the E350 model comes with a 255-hp turbo inline four-cylinder engine, while the E450 comes equipped with a 362-hp twin-turbo V-6 engine. EPA ratings place the E350 model at 26 miles per gallon (mpg) for the rear-wheel-drive option and 25 mpg for the all-wheel-drive edition.

Packed With Safety Features

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class line has received high marks from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Driver assistance technologies play a large part in those marks, and more than a few are available across the E-Class line. Automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring come standard, while optional extras include lane-keeping assistance and a semi-autonomous driving mode.
