

What's New For the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?
The 2021 model year brings numerous changes for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which now starts its seventh generation. The interior of the S-Class gets a bold new look with a sleek and contemporary design. This year, the S-Class replaces many knobs and buttons - nearly 30 in total - with a touchscreen interface that houses the climate controls, entertainment controls, safety features, and more. There is a fresh round of technology for the S-Class, which is now equipped with the Mercedes-Benz leading MBUX infotainment system. Under the hood, hybrid technology extends to both engines. More safety is onboard the S-Class in 2021.
What Features Are Available for 2021?
Five S-Class trims are available this year. There is no shortage of standard features on the base model, which has a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, an air-ride suspension system that adjusts ride height, and an automated parking system. Base-level technology includes a 12.3-inch digital infotainment screen and instrument panel. Navigation is also included, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This year you can enjoy the latest Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment system on all trims. Many safety features are standard as well.
The S 560 and 560e follow the base model with changes primarily under the hood, including a hybrid powertrain for the 560e. The S 63 brings a sportier look with a sporty exhaust system and suspension. Innovative styling cues highlight this trim, which gets a few more interior features, including massaging and multi-contour seats. This trim has a 4Matic all-wheel drive system as well. The S 65 gets a body control suspension system. Several packages are available that add ventilated front seats, power window shades in the back, a reclining front seats, and more safety.

2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Powertrain Options
Two engines are offered for the 2021 S-Class. The first is a 3.0L turbo V6 with a peak power output of nearly 430 HP. This engine creates 384 LB-FT of torque. The second engine is a larger 4.0L V8. With this engine, you'll get a power output of just under 500 HP and 516 LB-FT of torque. An electric motor with an additional 21 HP and 184 LB-FT of torque provides extra power on both engines when needed.
Technologies to Keep You Safe
Forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beams are standard. Previously available safety features, including traffic-adaptive cruise control, are now standard on all trims. An automated hands-free driving system is included for the 2021 S-Class too.
