A number of changes are in store for the Mercedes-Benz CLS in 2022. This year, the popular and upscale Mercedes sedan gets a refreshed appearance inside and out. The exterior gets bold new styling elements, while the cabin benefits from a new steering wheel design that also includes unique sensors. Drivers have more options this year to give their Mercedes-Benz CLS a custom finish. The CLS can be customized with a series of new paint colors, along with more color options for the upholstery and more wheels to choose from.
2022 CLS Trims & Features
The changes to the CLS are universal, and both of the 2021 trim levels carry over with the same basic list of components. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS is made in two trims. The first is called the CLS 450. The second is the CMG CLS 53. With either one, you can look forward to a number of great components. The base trim contains plenty of tech features with Mercedes' own MBUX infotainment technology that provides an enhanced driving experience for all occupants. You can also look forward to a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and a separate 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come with either of the two trim levels. Leather upholstery is standard on the 2022 CLS. Both trims also have heated front seats, and they provide you with up to 64 color choices for interior ambient lighting. Some additional upgrades come with the second trim, including enhanced brakes and an adaptive suspension system. This trim also has special upholstery for the seats. Along with the standard features, you can get several packages for either trim. The first is a winter weather package that adds heated armrests and a heated steering wheels. It also improves the heating speed of the seats. A Driver Assist package is also an option. This package has more safety technology and a head-up display.

2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS Horsepower
Both trims of the CLS have the same engine. They both get a turbo 3.0L engine with six cylinders. This engine creates 362 HP in power and just under 370 LB-FT of torque. An automatic transmission is also standard. The base trim has rear-wheel drive, while the second has all-wheel drive.

Many safety aids come with the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS. A driver attention warning system is standard, along with blind-spot assist, forward collision mitigation, and a communication system that alerts the driver of hazards.
