What's New for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL Roadster?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL Roadster is a fast, fun, and sporty car. The Roadster already stands out at the top of its class, but a few more improvements this model year make it an even more desirable choice than before. The latest Roadster features a stronger base engine, additional paint colors for the trim and brake calipers, upgraded upholstery, and a new soft-top option. The powertrain lineup is expanded this year as well, and for the first time, you can get a plug-in hybrid Roadster. The Roadster also carries over other desirable features, including many standard technology components, comfort, and a zippy ride.

What Are the 2025 AMG SL Roadster Trims & Features?

The AMG SL Roadster is available in four trim levels.

The base model is the AMG SL 43. This trim includes a heated steering wheel, massaging and climate-controlled front seats, neck warmers, and a power trunk lid. Standard technology includes an 11.9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and smartphone integration. The SL 43 also has a Burmester sound system.

With the AMG SL 55 comes larger wheels, a rear spoiler, red brake calipers, and a performance exhaust system. This trim also has an adaptive suspension system for added comfort.

Next, the AMG SL 63 gets an upgraded performance suspension system. Yellow brake calipers give the SL 63 a unique look, and it has a stronger engine. This trim also has a head-up display that includes an augmented reality navigation system.

Topping the line is the AMG SL 63 S E Performance. This trim has a plug-in hybrid powertrain, bronze brake calipers, and carbon ceramic brakes.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 AMG SL Roadster Have?

The base trim has a turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 416 horsepower. The SL 55 uses a turbo V8 engine that generates 469 horsepower. That same engine produces 577 horsepower in the SL 63, while the plug-in hybrid model produces 805 horsepower with a V8 engine and electric motor. Rear-wheel drive is standard with the SL 43, while the other models have all-wheel drive.

The 2025 AMG SL Roadster has a comprehensive standard safety package with blind-spot warning, forward collision mitigation, parking sensors, and an automated parking system. A Driver Assistance package with more advanced safety equipment is optional for all trims.
