For the first time ever, Mercedes-Benz has met the demanding UN-R157 legal requirements for a Level 3 system 1. In accordance with the technical approval regulation UN-R157, the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) has granted system permission for this to be marketed abroad, provided that national legislation enables it.
